Overview
I founded IYU Labs in October 2025 as my software product studio and consulting LLC. As founder and principal consultant, I build independent products and work with businesses on product development and website rebuilds.
The studio puts my product work and client work in the same place. Its public site includes product information, completed client work, an About page, and a contact flow.
The implementation uses Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, with self-hosted fonts and a shared system of semantic color and typography tokens.
Products and client work
My independent product work includes ResuPals, Tome & Quill, and ephemera. I own the product decisions alongside their design and engineering, then keep working on the parts that emerge after the first release.
Aviune is preparing to launch game hosting. Tidefern is still being developed, and Sensitiv is in private beta. Their public sites explain where each product stands.
My consulting work includes product engineering and platform delivery for Tasty, where I work on architecture and implementation and lead a worldwide engineering team.
Client work also includes the website rebuild for The Tyken Group, a Puget Sound staffing and recruiting consultancy. I designed and built the replacement site with Next.js and published it as static files on GitHub Pages.
A reference that runs
The design reference uses real components in both light and dark themes, with a searchable catalog, typography specimens, contrast checks, and motion controls. Changes in its sandbox stay there. They don't change the customer site.
Tokens are exported as CSS and JSON, with freshness checks that catch generated files that have fallen behind their source so a design change can carry through to the pages using those tokens without a manual copy.
Closing the public-site loop
The final work covered responsive pages, keyboard interaction, contact handling, metadata, social images, and crawler output, checking how someone reaches and shares the page as well as how it reads once they're there.
